A manufacturer of drive components for electric vehicles was looking for a solution for long-term life testing of rotating components. The tests were to simulate real vehicle operation including loads, vibrations and thermal effects. The key requirements were high system reliability, the ability to record test progress in real time, and the ability to automatically detect failures without the need for continuous operation.
Our solution
We have developed an electrical test bench that enables fully automated testing:
- Simulation of electrical and mechanical loads according to a defined program that replicates the vehicle’s operating cycles.
- Lifetime tests lasting weeks to months without operator intervention.
- Recording of the test – all data is continuously stored in internal memory and then sent to a central server for archiving and analysis.
- Safety features: integrated vibration and temperature protections that automatically interrupt the test when abnormal values are detected, minimizing the risk of damage to the equipment.
- Remote access and test monitoring.
Result
The test bench enables manufacturers to test components in an efficient, long-term and precisely controlled manner, which contributes significantly to verifying the quality and durability of components for electric vehicles. The system is robust, safe and easily expandable. Thanks to its modularity, it can be adapted to different types of test components and scenarios.
