AŽD Praha approached us with the aim of creating a reliable and smart lighting management system that would combine various functions into a single compact control unit. The requirements were modularity, high resistance to conditions in switchboards and remote management via GSM and LAN. The system was also to reduce the energy consumption of the operation and facilitate the detection of luminaire or cabling faults.

Our solution

We have designed an integrated unit that brings together all the important elements of lighting control:

• Astro timer – automatic switching on/off of lighting according to exact position and date.
• Voltage regulator control – control of energy consumption according to time and load.
• Four-channel power meter – monitors consumption and detects faults in luminaires or wiring.
• Communication interface: LAN and GSM/4G/5G for remote monitoring and management.
• Embedded Linux – a robust and flexible system with support for OTA updates and diagnostics.

The solution was designed with an emphasis on long-term operational stability, clear administration and easy integration into the existing infrastructure of towns and villages.

Result

The system is deployed in many locations across the Czech Republic. It ensures smooth, economical and safe operation of public lighting, helps to identify faults in time and enables remote management without the intervention of a technician. The solution has proven itself and has been working reliably for more than 8 years.
