Breathability tester for drapes according to EN 14683+AC

Our long-standing customer, Textile Testing Institute Brno, contacted us with a request for express design and manufacture of an instrument for measuring the breathability of drapes (differential resistance of drapes) according to ČSN EN 14683+AC Medical face masks – Requirements and test methods, Annex C.

Less than a month passed from the assignment to the handover of the device, during which time we managed to design a device that could be realized from components immediately available in the Czech Republic during the period of predominant home office operation and quarantine. Compared to similar devices on the market, the device is equipped with an optional second air flow meter for leakage control according to the standard, uses special flow meters with low pressure loss (originally designed for measuring breathing in medical devices) and is equipped with a display with a clear display of the measured data.
