We are EGMedical, s.r.o.

We operate an e-shop on the egmenergo.cz website

To provide our services, sell goods and operate our website, we process some personal data.

The processing of personal data is governed, in particular, by Regulation (EU) (EU) 2016/679 of April 27, 2016, on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) (“GDPR”)

I. Processing of personal data

A. Processing of personal data when using the contact form

If you inquire about our products and services (via the online form or by email), we will process the personal data you provide to us. This includes: first name, last name, phone number, email address, company name (if applicable), and the content of your message.

For what reason?
We will contact you through them to discuss the goods and services further or to address any questions you may have.

On what legal basis?
This is processing on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b) GDPR – contract negotiations, resp. taking pre-contractual measures at your request.

How long will we process personal data?
For the duration of our correspondence. If no contract is concluded and no further cooperation takes place, we will process your data for a maximum of 3 years from our last communication. If a contract is concluded, we will retain the data in accordance with statutory retention periods (typically 10 years).

B. Processing of personal data in case of purchase

If you make a purchase with us, we will work with the data you fill in. These are mainly billing details: name, surname, address, e-mail and telephone.

For what reason?

We need to process personal data to fulfil our contract – to deliver our goods or services to you. We will also communicate with you via your contact details regarding the status of your order, complaints or questions.

We will also process personal data for the fulfilment of our obligations under the law (mainly for accounting and tax purposes, or for the settlement of complaints, etc.).

On what legal basis do we process personal data?
This is processing on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b) GDPR – performance of the contract and Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c) GDPR – fulfilling our legal obligation.

How long will we process personal data?
During the period of performance of our service and thereafter for 2 years from the last time such service or goods were provided.

C. Sending Marketing Communications and Newsletters to Customers

If you are a customer of ours (you have used our services or purchased our products), we will use your email address to send you information about our news, promotions, and related services in the field of electronics.

  • Personal information: email address.
  • For what reason? To send promotional messages and news to existing customers.
  • On what legal basis? Processing based on our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR) in accordance with Section 7(3) of Act No. 480/2004 Coll.
  • How long will we process your personal data? For 10 years from your last purchase or use of a service, or until you object (opt out).
  • How do I unsubscribe? You can unsubscribe at any time for free by clicking the unsubscribe link in the footer of each email.

D. Sending the newsletter based on subscription via the website

If you voluntarily subscribe to our newsletter on our website:

  • Personal information: email address.
  • Why? To send you news, technical articles, and offers related to custom electronics manufacturing and development.
  • On what legal basis? Processing based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR).
  • How long will we process your personal data? Until you withdraw your consent, but no longer than 10 years from the date you provided it.
  • How do I withdraw my consent? You can withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in the footer of the email you received.

II. Who will get access to the data?

To ensure the operation of our website and the provision of our services, we use trusted processors. As a result, the following parties may have access to your data:

  • Web hosting and server infrastructure provider (THINline s.r.o.),
  • Companies involved in the shipment of ordered goods or in handling complaints (DPD, Česká Pošta, etc.),
  • Web hosting and IT services provider,
  • Provider of analytics tools and advertising (Google Ireland Limited—for Google Analytics and Google Ads),
  • Provider of a tool for identifying B2B visitors (Imper CZ s.r.o. – Leady.cz service),
  • An email newsletter distribution service provider (SmartSelling a.s. – SmartEmailing service).

Data transfers outside the European Union (U.S.):
When using Google services, certain anonymized or pseudonymized data may be transferred to servers in the U.S. This transfer is fully compliant with the GDPR based on the European Commission’s adequacy decision (EU-US Data Privacy Framework), under which Google is certified.

III. What else you should know

Our company does not make decisions based on automated processing or profiling.

IV. Use of cookies

Cookies are text files containing small amounts of information that are downloaded to your device when you visit our website. Cookies are then sent back to the website or another website that recognises them on each subsequent visit.

  • Analytical cookies from Google Analytics,
  • Google Ads advertising and conversion cookies,
  • Marketing and analytics cookies/scripts from Leady.cz (used to identify B2B visitors and track their activity on the website).

Consent can be expressed by means of a checkbox contained in the so-called “consent form”. cookie bar. You can also refuse cookies in your browser settings or set to use only some of them.

V. Your rights in relation to the processing of personal data

The GDPR gives you, among other things, the right to contact us and ask for information about what personal data we process, to request access to this data and have it updated or corrected, or to request a restriction on processing, you can request a copy of the personal data we process, request that we delete your personal data in certain situations, and in certain cases you have the right to data portability.

You have the right to object at any time to processing based on legitimate interests (e.g., sending customer newsletters or B2B traffic analysis via Leady.cz). If you object, we will no longer process your data for these purposes.

If you believe that we are handling your data in violation of the law, you have the right to file a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection or, if necessary, to bring your claims before a court.
